When those dark winter months arrive, we always hang something extra in the garden for the hungry little birds. Snow can make it very hard for those little fella's to find food. Last year we had a lot of snow, and our garden was full with the cutest little birds (I looked up the translation and apparantly they are called 'great titmouse' or even plain 'great tit' in English, which I think is a bit of a ridiculous name for such a cute bird so I refuse to call them that ;))
This winter there has been no snow yet and temperatures are pretty high for the season. So no birdies... Guess I should be happy that they are able to fend for themselves but I kind of miss them hanging around.
I love the colors that you've used, cold winter day but still that warm sunlight true the trees.
ReplyDeleteNicely done!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely and serene (and chilly) scene. It's so nice you put out food for the little birds - but extra nice that the weather has been mild. I love the drawing in your banner, so cute and funny!
